It is with exceptionally heavy hearts that we announce the end of our 10 year run. 

​

We gave it everything we had for as long as we could, but no matter how hard we try and how much we work, we will never be able to beat inflation and algorithms. 

​

When our rent spiked by $400 a month a couple years ago, we knew it was only a matter of time before it caught up with us. Since then, rent/costs continues to rise, and we just cannot produce enough dolls anymore to make up the difference. There's no time left in a day to do it! It used to be that we took one day off a week, then it was one day off every 8-10 days, and now we work every. single. day.

Algorithms on social media are a huge part of the problem. 40,000 followers on Instagram, and we're lucky to get 100 'likes' on a post. They demand you be there posting every day, numerous times a day, to gain any traction. X amount of posts, x amount of stories, x amount of reels, but don't spam! Respond to comments and dm's within an hour, use X amount of hashtags - not too many, and not too few, and not the "banned" ones you didn't know about! (You have to research those yourself, because they don't tell you. Hint: Don't say #happythanksgiving). Who the hell has time to jump through these hoops just so your followers see you? And it's not just us. Other creators we know are having trouble too, for the very same reason.

Something to keep in mind if you're a fan of small businesses and independent artists: like/follow/comment/share their stuff.  Not only can it help keep them afloat financially, but it motivates them to keep doing their thing.

PREORDERS/CUSTOMS and Patreon

​

We're going to keep hobbling along until the end of the year. If you've ordered a pre-order/custom, we'll be finishing those before we go. We're working every day to get them completed as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any that are running later than expected.

​

To our Patreon following, we'll be leaving Patreon at the end of the year, too... so if we owe you an anniversary doll, please don't forget to let us know and we'll get one out to you when we can. (A Lannister always pays his debts.) As always, don't forget to leave us your updated address so that we're not sending gifts to strangers. (It's happened!) And thank you. We're eternally grateful that you went that extra mile of support for us.

10 years! That's nothing to sneeze at. While it's soul-crushing to see it end, we're honored that you've allowed us an entire decade of doing this for a living. Thank you to all who have helped make that happen. You changed our lives, and carried us through some really dark times. We appreciate you all so much. (And just think of the thousands of minions you've helped us populate the planet with!)

You can also like, share, comment and follow across our social media because, who knows, new collectors may find us and we'll be able to rock and roll a little while longer. (The same 40, or so, people have carried us for years, and I'm sure they're/you're tired by now.)

We don't yet know what our plans are for the future, but we're SO looking forward to finally being able to spend time with each other without thinking/talking about work.
